Who is Matthew Oghene?
Born in 1983, Matthew is considered to be one of the greatest life models of his generation by artists and models alike.
As a child Matthew had an interest and keen eye on drawing. This would lead to him taking Art foundation and HND graphic design at Middlesex University in 2002. Matthew's first professional job came in 2004 at Beaconsfield Contemporary Art Gallery in an art installation called 'Engineer' and the rest, my friend, is history.
Matthew recently modelled for an Artangel production on channel 4 called Life Class/Today's Nude posing for Maggi Hambling. Matthew hopes to keep working as an artist model and says his best work is yet to come.
Who is Lorraine Smith?

Lorraine Smith is a dance practitioner trained in contemporary and expressive dance; experienced teacher, choreographer/director, performer and life model.
Lorraine is the artistic director and choreographer of Silversmith Dance Theatre and is also part of the Newington Collective, Animate: SPACE and the traditional Palestinian and Lebanese dance troupe Al Zaytouna. Lorraine is also a senior childcare practitioner by day.

What is The Matthew event?
The Matthew Event has taken over two years to put together. Matthew Oghene felt it was time to expand and work with other like-minded models. The Matthew Event promises artists an experience worth every penny. These performance life classes are open to anyone willing to exprience a new way of approaching life drawing.
Matthew Oghene will be working with fellow friend flamenco dancer Alexia Clorinda and dancer Lorraine Smith founder of Silversmith Dance Theatre , who in sharp contrast is a worthy model to work alongside Matthew at The Matthew Event drawing workshops. Both models Matthew and Lorraine will do a variety of poses to please everyone at the event. The Matthew Event will expand the imagination and outlook on life drawing and performance art to it's limits.
